shift linkage control rod replacement

Just curious if anyone out there has replaced a control rod (manual transmission shift linkage) and bushings. Difficult or easy for the weekend mechanic.

I've had to remove them before for engine swaps, they are pretty easy. You can probably knock it out in an hour or so.
