I'm going to laugh my *** off if Nissan decides to copyright shift_whatever and then they sue everyone using it :(

I'll be one of the few not in court ;)

I'll be the first in court to argue the suit :)

Ahh speaking of mitsubishi.. my friend works @ toyota and they get people trading in their mitsus all the time

These people go for the 0 payment for a year 0 down 0 interest thing

8 months later, they want to trade it, never making a payment. I would love to see their faces when the salesman says "Well the Montero you bought for $34,000 has a high book of $18,000, and we'll give you $15,000 for it".

.. they have no idea what they've gotten themselves into o_O

thats why i abandoned the DSM camp. the motors are great [1g 6bolt] but i went through 3 trannys and called it quits. its funny how they all had the same problem- broken brittle shift forks.

i went through one transmission on my 1st G DSM before it found it's way into t-boning a blazer after a brief talk with some ice.

I don't mind mitsu. I almost bought a lancer before I found my 240. I'm glad I got the 240, but Mitsu still holds a part of me

I love the Evo, but I'm not a big fan of their userbase now. A good portion of the Evo owners on EvoM (formerly Lancerforums.com) look down on anybody who doesn't own an Evo, especially the lancer owners who started the boards. The Evo owners refuse to believe that Evolution 8 is a trim level of a Lancer.

Exactly. The Evo guys HATE SRT-4's. I would have thought they'd be more beligerant towards the STi crowd, but the Scoobies and the Evos seem to get along pretty well.

Maybe some of the retards do. But it's pretty typical on EvoM to be flamed for hating on another car. Be careful with your generalizations.

if you do a lot of high RPM drops or mistreat that transmission, you'll break it. But then again, I don't know many trannies that enjoy being mistreated. Dave Coleman's not always accurate in what he says ;)

I personally like the evo, even though the front looks like it was beaten with the whole ugly tree, like everything else on it though. Did you guys catch wind from the mitsu forums about the can't-be-raced-cause-we-send-mitsu-rep-guys-to-every-track-event-to-take-pictures-of-any-evos-so-we-can-void-your-warranty scam mitsu was pulling?

never heard of that....

i like the front end. it was very radical. granted, i'll take an Evo 7 front, but I still think the 8 front is beautiful.

I do remember there was a thing where Mitsu was supposedly scouring message boards to find people who were modding their cars or racing and then denying warranty work. It was determined to be BS. But it was funny to watch a bunch of people put disclaimers in their sigs for a few months :)
