I've got an 87 300zx with the manual transmission and i can't unscrew the shift knob, how do i get it off?

lefty loosie righty tighty lol put ur purse down ull get it lol... mine was really on there on my 76 use some plyers that help.... my 2 cents

got a strap wrench for an oil filter. use that just make it smaller

yeah they put those on with some serious thread locker, sometimes they just do not want to come off, I have found that a pipe wrench will take anything off but it will destroy the knob

yeah, i didn't know how hard i could pull it without breaking anything, but its definitely just screwed on with thread locker, not bolted in or anything, right?

use a strap wrench as previously suggested .. wrap a towel around the knob to minimize any damage ...

strap wrenches work like a charm ..
