I know this sounds stupid, but I've read that all you have to do to take the shift knob off is "unscrew it". Well, I'm putting some fair grunt on it and it feels like I'm going to twist the thing off lever and all...can it just be that it's stuck because it's never been off in 12 years, or is there a restraining pin I don't know about?

(Lord, I'm about to replace my clutch and the SHIFT KNOB is beating me? I'm gonna be the laughing stock of Nico.)

Regards.

UPDATE: Got it. Just had to stop being a ***** and use a wrench (knob covered with towel, of course). Mods, please delete this post.
