I was looking at that black NISMO one, but they are for 10mm threaded shifters. Ours has no thread to screw onto. I was going to make a topic if anyone knew how to be able to put on a NISMO or screw on shifter onto our Versas or thread the shifter ourselves to be able to screw on an aftermarket shifter.

I looked into cutting a thread for our shifters and found out that a die with die stock are needed to add a thead to the metal shaft of our shifters. I'm going to try it and buy one of those NISMO knobs and let you guys know how it goes...

Does anyone know about taking the boot off as well. I am going to replace that too on my Versa. I am not sure if I need to take out the whole center or not? Anyone know??? Thanks

ok... so say this... say you want to just go ahead and change your stick shift all together... can you take the versa shifter out and replace the whole shifter with a short throw 6 speed or some other kind of 6 speed shifter?
