Pretty sure the MT and AT would be completely different. Manual would have no shift lock button, etc.

I'm not even sure if the newer AT knobs would directly swap over, may be small diferences.

i priced a new one at my closest infiniti dealer and it was over 200.00 for an AT knob. thats ridiculous. any other suggestions?

the only part that is ugly is the silver plastic in the middle. there are a few superficial scratches on it and the finish is peeling. i thought about taking a fine grit sand paper and smoothing it out as much as possible. any thoughts?

I thought I saw where the M35 sport shifter knob (all leather) would fit with a slight modification ......If I were going to shell out $$$ to replace it, I would look at this.

Could always search junk yards, though hard to find many newer infinitis in them these days.

I had that problem with my shift knob (finish chipping and peeling) so I taped it off and used steel wool on the brushed metal part and removed the clear coat. Looks great now. Just make sure when you use the steel wool to only go lengthwise on it so it will have consistency on the look of the finish.

that is exactly what i wanted to try. I was actually going to wet sand it with fine grit paper.

i just picked up another knob off ebay for 45.00 shipped to me door; it looks great. i will experiment with the old one.
