I was just wondering if anyone knows if there are shift kits for automatic 240s? I know 90% of cars you can get them for so they shift better, but I can't seem to locate one.

I heard this rumor that if you put in a manual transmission it would really improve your shifting and power delivery. It could just be hearsay.

I read something in the FAQ section about a "free shift kit"...

Unplug the little gray plug on the right side of the engine bay next to the airbox that regulates the pressure of the ATF and if unplugged it shifts different...

I ran the car about 2 miles, unplugged it and then drove back home but I didnt notice any difference.

All that does is make the car shift harder. There are no performance gains from doing that.

I know, I was giving the guy a heads up that if he finds an article about a shift kit on here that it's not worth trying.

Just get a nice Trust/GREX 6-speed sequential dogbox. They're only $13000.

Or, you know, if you're on a budget, a normal 5MT w/the $1500 Ikeya Formula sequential setup, lol.

Yes, I'm kidding.

your transmission wont last long if you unplug this. I had a friend who tried it and his transmission went out after about a week.

well unplug it, let your transmission go out in a week and then u have a reason to get a new one and i would suggest a 5-speed.

me and a couple friends just finished the 5 speed swap on my car a few weeks ago.....

I say that to say this DO NOT waste your time with upgrading the auto transmission. Go 5 speed, you wont regret it! I love my car now, its like having a brand new car. heh heh, aaaall riiiiiiight!
