Shift hesitation stumble then shift flare

I have a 01 qx4. I love the car to death but it has 1 ultra annoying problem

When driving 50% of the time it will start out fine then 1-2 shift hesitation at 1800 rpm the whole car will buck. Then shift flare for 30 seconds. Then 3-4 gears work fine. I am told it is a re4r01a 4 speed automatic transmission.

This is the 5th transmission I have had to swap into the car. The last 3 transmission I have had installed and the same problem exists. I have attempted new TCM and it makes no difference.

Anyone ever have this problem?

I have a check engine light that is on for the following codes

p1110 vvt sensor? Im told its has to do with oil pressure my car has 237k miles on it. Can anyone explane what this sensor dose and could it effect the transmission shift points?

other code is for a knock sensor. I have checked the knock sensor and it is fine.

I am not throwing any transmission codes. I have cleared the codes over 20 times they keep coming back no matter what.

I don't see how anyone can help you online with the transmission -- Who is doing all these swaps? The transmission has a known flare issue -- look around you will find the TSB. I have had three and it's never been a problem. So not all are affected.

The VVT sensors are a known failure point as is the CPS -- The sensors are all cheap and can be switched out in an hour.

You should reset your CEL and see what comes back first.
