shift boot

this is really annoying.... my shift boot that i bought along with the shift knob won't fit in the hole left by the old one! does anyone kno of a boot that will...

Use the old one? Any reason that wouldn't work? Or, do what I did, and buy some vinyl (just got black again in my case, w/ yellow thread to match my interior) and trace pattern from old one, and cut + sew a new one. Actually, I had my stepmom sew it for me, but, you know..its all good. Looks just as good as all the ones out there people are charging $30+ to send ya. 3 bucks worth of vinyl and half an hours time. Did the same with the glovebox, redid it in yellow vinyl. Looks really darn good I think. Took off the old one, wrapped it around, and its set.

the old one was in pieces when i bought the car....peeling and stuff....looked real bad...i wish the old boot was here for me to trace it....sadly enough, it has seen the inside of one of my many trash cans

Well, if I was at home and not on base (home is a few hundred miles away) i'd be nice and rip mine out and mail ya a cheap template, however, I'm not there.. so unable to do so =) good luck

has some shift boots.. towards the bottom ya can find some for $27.. dunno how they'd fit, good i assume.
