Okay, here's an odd one for ya'll...Due to my radio surround being broken on my s14, i decided to repair it myself, superglue, bondo spot putty, sanding, and black paint (possibly being redone in blue) anyway, it saved me like 45 dollars...but i want the shift surround and heater controls to be the same..unfortunately the clips that hold the leather to the shifter are almost all missing, there's only 2 left..first, does anyone know how to remove these without breaking the plastic off? second, any ideas on how to attach the leather and inner plastic ring towards the back where the clips are all missing? I'll post pictures if anyone wants them, of how the surround looks after i repaired it...you can hardly tell it was damaged, even if you know where to look...mostly you just tell by the slight warping...ast

I just put a new shift boot on my car from http://www.redlinegoods.com and yes those plastic parts are very fragile. Use a small thin knife and just slowly lift the washers off. Here is the right up I followed from their site....

If you have an s13....

As for the missing plastic parts, you just might to have get creative there lol.
