so i just got my airmiles card finally (signed up twice n never got one) Shell is the closest station to me and I want to start going there. Ive been using petro canada for 2 years, and pioneer in between. Ive accumulated 26,000 petro points, and $38 in bonus bucks at pioneer, and im blowing both of them veryy soon.

My question...my 99.5 qx4 3.3L V6 has been running 87 unleaded since i got it...whats the advantages of premium and is it a good idea to make the switch at 110,000 kms? And on average how much more $$ is premium/L

in my opinion it makes no difference, my qx4 runs the same on ghetto mexican "PEMEX" 87 octane, as it does on 91 octane from a multi-million dollar gas station with marble roman pillars in La Jolla, CA

sick, im sticking to BRONZE then LOL woohoo! i figured ud say that about 87....i love your comparison of gas stations.....where the hell do you live to have such a contrast...its hilarious.

all the gas stations here are the same, ran by friendly people...usually harvinder or his brother gagandeep. sometimes their uncle Bhupinder.

gas stations make 3% profit up here where the f*** do those snobs think their coming from putting marble everywhere. Send them to mexico and dont let them back in.

you said it brotha! You could be ballin it up amongst 20 million dollar homes and million dollar cars, or you could go 15 minutes south and be chillen amongst corruption, gang rivalry, dead and burning bodies in parking lots, police chief got 50 bullets pumped into his body while chillen in his bed, next to his wife, but his wife was untouched!!

LOL im a stickler. I tend to go to the same gas station for months and dont switch. Ive been wanting to switch to shell for a while now because of airmiles. Ive accumulated 26,900 petropoints..thats $2690 spent and i only get $20 in gas +what...a chocolate bar or something? What the firetruck are they thinking! Pioneer is good, their bonus bucks program is much better, but I hear they buy gas from whoevers cheaper so it means im always getting different gas. Shell is SHELL i guess so im gunna be safe and stick with it. AirMiles is sweet.

in the end its probly all b.s about ppm's and refining and it doesnt matter as long as its gas lol but its piece of mind to me that im using the same gasoline station always.

all i know is that if you fill up with v-power you triple your airmiles by purchasing more than $30 of gas.

i buy the v-power i use my amex airmiles card and make 4 points everytimei buy gas. I also usethe airmiles card and since its triple i make 12pts off the card. in total i make 16 pts off of one tank. its not bad. i run v-power for the hell of it, i dont know whether there is much of a difference but my tank says to fill it with premium so i will till its like $3 a litre
