It seems that Carroll Shelby is at it again, this time with a reproduction of Eleanor, the GT500 clone featured in Gone in 60 Seconds. There are several variations available including a 302 ci. powered model, a performance package with Windsor 351 bored and stroked to a 408 putting out 475 NA horsepower. Then there is the real big dog, the Super Snake model with a Vortech supercharged 427 putting out 750 horsepower. It'll run you 150,000 dollars but wow, just look at it:http://www.uniqueperformance.c....aspx

Quote »NOS® system – 125 shot (non-functional) [/quote]wtf?? why would he cut corners like that?? that's kinda weak, especially on such an otherwise awesome car.

I think it's not functional because he sells it as a street legal vehicle...I'd venture to say it'd made functional VERY easily.

I'm a huge fan of that car, except for the ugly hump in the hood. That thing is bigger than a zit on a 15 year old's face.

well, on the 427 it's probably to make for clearance on the supercharger, I still agree with you it's goofy looking, maybe it vents air on the back or something...

True Cold_Zero, and if I was a car collector then the choice is obvious. However, for an actual car I would drive frequently, I would have to go with the new 500E, I wouldn't feel like I was ruining a classic by modifying it like I would an authentic GT500KR.
