sheet metal under-chassis paneling?

so long story short for a long time ive been without a splash shield, and for a long time ive wanted to make one out of sheet metal. i recently too the plunge for some sheet metal 48x48 pieces due to my paint cracking at bumper/fender junctions due to no bracing. Now i had planned on doing just the front but while under there thought it might be a goo idea to run it all the way to the back in the middle, using the frame rails as outside mounting points. any thoughts exp etc...? just ordered the metal and cant wait to get started, should also help with the dual maf/high speed stumble a bit.

I have the driven authority front splitter/guard on the front of my Z and http://www.zspeedperformance.com/ZSpeed ... ans_c8.htm there engine shield. As for running it further back there really isn't anyway to mount it securely unless your going to tap new holes in the rail, though most larger exhaust resonators or piping like 3" etc will be in the way and prevent you from being able to do it anyway.

yeah i have read that before but i have the flower pot mod anyways..... and yes i plan on using the rails as the mounting points. this is a few months away as i plan on filling them with autofoam first...
