Just thought I'd share my new purchase. I picked up a 1990 240sx with about 142k on the ODO for $1000 today. It runs very strong, it's got new tires, almost new brakes, and it's getting a clutch installed right now. It's got the usual dents and dings, but the red paint is still mostly shiny after 14 years. My initial plans are to keep it as a daily driver (replacing my GTI 1.8t that I'm trying to sell) until the engine dies (if it ever does) and then swap in a SR or CA. Word to your mommas a$$.

Nice find. Sounds like a good deal. Your plan about waiting till the engine dies to swap it is very smart.

yes, running the motor till it dies and then to swap a different motor sounds like a very good idea and cost effective. That way you can lure more chicks into your s13 with money and whatever else and use the tactics in a thread further down on the board. lol

Haha, thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to take the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" path for a while I think. I might start getting some suspension parts on there, and maybe a new passenger side front fender (bashed in by previous owner, doh) but other than that stuff it's gonna stay stock for now. Since I won't have car payments anymore, I'll have mad cash for the ladies. Werd.

I too love having cash in pocket instead of giving out to car payments. Even tho I love my car, I'd never want to pay for it monthly. 1 lump sum is the best.

I took the "I'm still in high school so im gonna blow all my ****in money while I have free food and shelter" path. Now I've graduated and I will take the "I have alot of grad money" path. And soon i will be taking the "lets eat Ramon noodles so i can pay the utilities" path.

Haha, nice. I started out a few years ago on the "I have a dotcom job and I'm spending all of my money on cars" path, then I recently moved to "No more tech jobs so I guess I'll freelance and eat ramen" path. Stupid economy. :biggun: It really sucks being poor when you're into cars.

when your into cars the best thing to do is to get licensed bonded and insured go buy cars at auctions and resell them. I got my 240 for $800. I hope the Ins. lets me buy her back.
