She's home! I reacquired my 240sx today!

The car sat at my best friend's/ex-coworker's house for 3.5 years. I sold it to him to buy my motorcycle (1976 Honda CB750F Super Sport) after I got the engine built. He then bought a V-Rod and rarely drove the car. He only put 1000mi on it in 3.5 years.

I was sickened at the state of the car after the build. It sat in the back lot of my dealership as I built the engine and some inconsiderate butt hole(s) decided he/they needed the interior more than I did. Everything from behind the front seats was stolen. Carpet, spare tire cover, all the plastic panels, the back seat bottom and seat back, and the panels on the quarter glass. EVERY LAST PIECE. Pissed me off enough to sell the car.

After the first year of the car just sitting in his driveway, I regretted selling it. Al least I knew the new owner which put my mind a bit at ease. Married my girlfriend and a year later I knocked her up. I switched dealerships almost 2years ago to move closer to her family. I got word he was selling it a month ago and immediately contacted him. I went over today with some "better" tires (3.5 years of Texas weather on stationary tires that were already old) I had acquired from my dealer's take off pile. A grand 175/65R15 set of superior goodyears. But hey, they were free and still have 4/32 left. Next month is our "Buy 3 get one for $1" tire deal, so I'll jump on some new shoes then.

I'll have to take some disturbing pictures of the vehicle and show y'all the ransackery. It's sad.

Welcome back! Congrats on getting the car back. Is it still in the same shape? What are you going to do with it?

Yes, it's still in the same unfortunate shape. I want to find an interior and it needs a lot of body work and suspension work. It has all original parts. The tension rod bushings are SHOT. I was surprised how smooth it felt on the 90mile trip home at 75mph. I plan to DD it soon. So repairs and modifications will come slow.

I've got a small stack of $$ tucked away for when I find a good set. Maybe someone parting out or gutting one for a track/drift car. I guess I could post a "WTB" in the classifieds in hopes someone doesn't need their interior.
