I like the new smiley you used the flipin birdie

how stable it is Rich?

I've been debating something like this for years for those snowy months taking the ski equipments. I was always on the edge maybe a leak or something.

zozo, it rained last night so I'll check for leaks in a bit, but my Yakima rack never leaked.
It appears to be very stable too. I can rock the car nicely by pulling on it...seems solid.
We have a Thule box that we use on vacation trips, so I needed the rack.
I had called Yakima and discussed using my 05 clips cause I'd read others doing it, but they advised against it and when I told them that Inno made one for the 08 they suggested getting it since it had been tested and approved by that company.
AutoAnything had a deal going on,
but http://www.orsracksdirect.com/inno-rack ... ories.html had a free fairing deal going on which, bottom line, ended up being the same price as autoanything + 30 for the fairing.

orsracksdirect Review
Customer Service = B-- Hard to get them on the phone. Left a message on Saturday during hours and they called the following Monday. Also, was told everything was in inventory except the fairing, but they would ship the rack immediately. The day after paying (May 3rd), got email saying the towers were not in and they expected a shipment on May 18th.
On May 24th, I sent an email and called them requesting a status update and wanting to discuss canceling transaction.
On May 24ht, I received email saying they had been shipped. (Actually, only info had been sent to UPS, was not ship til the next day.
UPS got them here on the May 27th.
(UPS > FEDEX on shipping , so I prefer getting shipments from them.
FEDEX > UPS on lower shipping costs, so I ship using them.)
We don't really need them til next month, so not a big deal for me. However, if you need them in a hurry, you might consider another online resource like autoanything.

Inno Review
Comparing the Inno to my Yakima system, I like the Yakima locking system better. Yakima is easier to use and setup. The towers lock down on the Yakima bar very securely whereas the Inno towers you have to watch them to ensure they haven't slipped up until the time you lock them down. The Yakima locking system looks more secure as well.
And, I bought the Yakima rack used in 2002 and it has held up great! Time will tell how the Inno holds up.
The Inno fairing went on much easier than the Yakima, but the Inno fairing bottom rests on the top of the car as opposed the the window like the Yakima.
Bottom line, if Yakima comes out with clips for the 07/08 I'll probably buy them and sell the Inno rack. Total cost to my door was $247.45

Rich thanks for the info. I'll have to look into it. What I usually do put all my gears thru the pass thru but would love to just put a skibox on the top on the ocasions.

Kinda wished there was an easy solution for the coupe to have a rack.

Admittedly though, 95% of entrants to the this thread were hoping for daughter pics, you knew this... tease.

Is the rack easy to remove and reinstall? I'd like one for the practicality, but I don't think it looks all that good.

Definitely easy to remove. Did this yesterday in just a couple of minutes.
Installation is a little more involved since you have to measure the bar and place the towers where the directions specify. Plus, you have to put the bars on the roof based on measurements. But, otherwise, pretty quick and easy.
Definitely will be quicker the next time you put them on.

Trust me, I bought these for function not for looks.

Cool. Now that I read my post, it sounds like I'm saying your (car's) rack is ugly - that's not what I meant!

Just think my car would look better without one, but of course be more functional with one, so hoping I can have it both ways, which sounds promising.
