Well, I recent acquired my s14 with an s13 blacktop sr in it....the seller didnt inform me that it was blowing smoke prior to the sale, but since i flew all the way to CA to get the car, i picked it up anyways...long story short, I got me a gt2540r and made my own mani, external gate setup, intercooler setup, downpipe, etc....I was pretty sure the oil was from the turbo, hence the massive upgrade, but now i dont think it was that, doh! I still have yet to drive it wwith the new setup (almost ready) but i pulled my plugs to change em out and it seems they had burnt oil on them The ca ran pretty well before i took it all part save the smoking while coasting in gear (not sure what else would do that, anyone have ideas???) Anyhow... Heres a few pics of my progress below; I do have a few questions though....Im on a 100% stock fuel system....my gate is set to 6 psi, and i am sort of uneasy about going more than that....approx how much boost will the stock fuel sys support on this large of a turb? I have many more questions, but ill post them when i think of em, haha... at the very least you will have to put a new high flow fuel pump into it.

yes, you need the fuel pump. my friends who have done sr swaps said even on stock settings, the car runs like shhit with out the upgrade fuel pump
