Post

love what you guys are doing. i have some plans for my g coupe also but not to the degree that you guys are doing. i've done a couple of things to my engine to get it to run good and clean. Its got a stillen torque damper and master cylinder brace, radiator shroud, 3in nismo cai, headers, 2.5in downpipes (resonated) matted up to a 2.5in to 3in y-pipe. I'm runnin pulstar spark plugs and i did notice the difference instantly and i noticed a slight increase in mileage when my tank was empty . Whenever the motor finally dies on me i wanna swap in an chevy ls v8 with the install package from hinsonsupercars.com . I already have eibach sways and sportline springs, kinetix rear combo suspension kit and front camber, ss clutchline and brakelines, computer reflash, UR 3pc pulley kit, bm short shifter, stage 1 spec clutch kit plus flywheel. These are the performance features that I have done already. I was wondering if you guys do any other type of work with the G's ? Or do you just do custom jobs? if you guys have a website that would be great. i also ask cause you guys are located in florida and im down in miami so a trip up to vero beach is all good for me. i can spend a week up there on vacation while you guys work on the car. I just see it as convenience. Anyways any information you give me is appreciated, good luck on the car it looks SICK and take care.

p.s. i also have a mini dual train horn stored behind my front cross bar. That is fun as hell after i do a drift and at the end hit that horn. People love it. HAHAHA!

You are hoping the VQ engine will die on you, aren't you? Well, I doubt it will ever happen, unless you have FI installed without proer tuning or if you just neglect the car's routine maintenance.

At no point did I ever mention that I hoped my VQ would die on me so that then I can already swap in a V8 LS motor. I just drive my car pretty hard and know that eventually it will give out no matter how much proper routine maintenance you give it. I already have a bunch of things done to it to help it run more efficiently, smoother (plus it sounds and runs harder too).

long live the G.

I really doubt your engine will die on you. I have a little Nissan i flog regularly with almost 250K miles and original gear box (manual). Hasn't died on me but I noticed a reduction in compression and performance, but car still runs great. I really haven't figured out how engines go dead with proper and routine maintenance.

Arguably, Nissan's engineering was more tuned to reliability back then. Perhaps as a result of lower emission standards. Even oils used these days are not as conducive towards longer lasting engines.

road race car i take it...

The car looks great, nice to see people going to extremes with these things finally took long enough, who did the bulk of the work please tell me thats your blood sweat and tears.

I wonder what the tech inspector at a NHRA cert track is going to say about the cage lol, i would guess be prepared to be kicked off the track after you pick up your time slip and you run over 135 (personally that makes me feel good when that happens)
