First off thanks to everyone for all your help and your documented progress so I could have a good Idea of what I was getting into. Anyway I called the mechenic/tuner that was doing all the wiring and piping for my car and was informed she turned over fine and I should head down there and take a look at it. Got there and damn did this engine sound great I mean grrrrrEAT! I cant remember being so happy. Kevin(the tuner, btw Dee he says you two know each other his shop is in Davie) was suprised on how quick it spooled and how powerful it was.

Only problem that he ran in to was the idle, it kept Idling at 1k rpm he tried adjusting the idle screw but it seems to be stuck, but other than that it runs perfect. Also, I need to replace the thermost( think) because the permacool fan kicks on way to late.

-To clearify, the fans thermo switch activates the fan at 170 degrees, but the fan doesnt come on until the cars temp gauge is almost to the first bold white line  . I dont think that thermo switch temp is to high (170 isnt too high right..?)so I think the thermost isnt working right and water isnt hitting the thermo switch until the water is way too hot. To the credit of the fan though once it turns on the temps drop almost instantly(its only one 12in fan).

-The car hasnt been driven yet and Kevin says its not leaving the shop until he is sure that all the bugs are worked out and it runs fine so hopefully I can get some pics of it up sometime this week. The last thing I need for right now is a slim battery and I think enjuku and option imports sells one so I will be ordering that tomorrow.

-I think thats about it so hopefully I'll be driven her to the moroso event in a couple of week, keep ya guys updated.

Congrats man! The first drive is the best feeling you will ever have! Mine will be one of the greatest moments of my life. Even though, it bucked, kicked, smoked, stalled, and sputtered that is;)

You MUST give us pics when you get her back!!!

Good job, man. You'll have to get with me and let me look it over. Don't worry, I won't charge you;) . No racing until you've paid me a visit and don't be screwing with the crank angle sensor either.

Anyone got any ideas on this^ or am I correct in thinking that the thermostat on the motor has prolly gone bad.

Kevin's good people and you couldn't have had a more decent person to do it. Get two fans on that radiator and the temperature issue I'll probably check out myself.

Yeah, he's kind of a perfectionist when it comes to his craft and thats what I like about him plus he just cool as hell. Yeah he also mentioned a second fan and left room for it, but I really need a thicker radiator as well. Hopefully I'll get them both around the same time. A guy I know in orlando said he had a s14 radiator that I could have if i payed for shipping but no word from him, it was supposedly a thicker one that only came in a couple of them, but it looks like im just gonna get a koyo or something.
