...with bad valves... I think.

KA24DE with 95k on her, and she's had an odd tapping sound since I bought her. At first I thought it was the timing chain which is a common KA problem. Upon further inspection (actually looking for the source) it seems to be above the #2 cylinder (looking from the front) on the left side in the valve cover. Which leads me to believe it's a valve. If I'm possibly wrong, please correct me.

If I'm right, should I just get intake and exhaust valves for that area, or should I just get a kit and replace them all? The engine runs strong, or atleast as strong as it was when I first bought it. The previous owner ran it 10k on dino oil without filter change or oil change, so it doesn't surprise me all that much.

Thanks for any help guys.

P.S. Edit: I can't find an OEM valve kit. I can find separate valves, but not a kit. Help?

Ok, I have looked all over. JWT, Mossy Performance, Google even, and I cannot find a kit for the car. I need a full rebuild for the Intake and Exhaust valves, and I'd prefer to get all necessary parts that need to be replaced with it.

Another problem is that sites are not telling me if I am supposed to get aftermarket pistons with these valves. I don't need to bend brand new valves, and I don't know enough about the top of this engine to make knowledgeable decisions like that.

please help.

Well since noone is replying, can you atleast tell me the individual parts that will be required? Will I need 'retainers' as well? Anything else I might as well throw in there to make it more durable valve-wise?

I'd like to know because Tax returns are on the way and I'll actually have the cash to do this.
