I wanna shave my emblems but dont wanna replace them with anything like the skyline emblem or nissan or 350 GT or anything like that.. its a G35 and i dont wanna act like its anything else cause i didnt buy the car to pretend it was a GT-R or anything.

anyway, i didnt wanna just jump into this project, get half way done and realize i did something wrong. are they just glued on or am i gonna have to take the inside of the trunk lid apart? either way, i dont have a problem doing it, just like i said, i dont wanna ruin anything

any help will help. thanks

Blowdryer

Fishing line

Goo gone or something non abrasive to help rub out the sticky stuff that didn't come off.

Just heat up each letter and gently "floss" the emblems.

FYI because your car is a few years old, there may be an outline of the letters...just warning you!

Good luck!

In the case of the fishing line you may want to go with a little bit of Spectra and especially not Kevlar. The Spectra should give the best strength to diameter ratio allowing you to stay closer to the letters and away from the paint. It is also much gentlier if you do come in contact with the finish.

Not sure how the stock paint is on the G when it comes to seeing the outline of the letters but on some of the other cars I have known that use this method, the outlines will start to blend in with the rest of the finish fairly quickly.

you should also use a rubbing compound but use it lightly and gently.. just enough to erase the outlines of the logo and letters..
