Shattered sunroof on 1990 240SX

The sunroof on my'90 Piggy shattered while driving on the freeway a couple of days ago. Either a rock hit it or I was a victim of a freeway shooting. Ever since then, I have been trying to find a replacement sunroof. While doing my research, I found out that my sunroof was an aftermarket made by Skymate. While searching for a replacement sunroof glass at the local Pick-your-Part yard, I meet another 240sx owner who told me that the sunroofs were all aftermarket for the Pignose. Does anyone know whether this is true? I have not been able to verify this with other Pignose owners. I have seen the OEM sunroof on the Chuki, but not on the Pignose. The OEM glass is larger and have a different Latch Handle and different hinges. The Latch Handle on the aftermarket has a red and a green button on it with the word "Skymate". I would like to ask all the Pignose (1989-90) owners with a pop-up sunroof to verify what type of sunroof you have. Also if you know where I can find the aftermarket replacement glass. Thanks.

I'm like 99% positive that pignoses did not have aftermarket sunroofs. That makes no sense to me at all. I can't test that theory because my pignose had an aftermarket sunroof put in by the previous owner. Good luck man, the same exact thing happened to me and I have a sheet of metal riveted over the hole now. The manufacturer of my sunroof is LONG gone lol.

The manufacturer for my sunroof (Skymate) is gone too. If I cannot find a replacement glass, I will need to look for other options. Do you have any pics of your sheet metal roof? Thanks

Yeah mine is PerfectSunroof brand. I'll take you some pics tomorrow morning, it sucks... I wouldn't recommend doing it lol. I used this really thin (you can cut it with scissors) roof flashing stuff, so it's insanely loud when you hit bumps.

The 89-90s def came with oem sunroofsmy glass even has the nissan logo on it as well as my vin number etched into it. Also the Nissan FSM lists the sunroof as well as the the weather seals for them.
