Well well well...

I was driving down the same road I have lived off of for 17+ years. Simple enough. I hear this loud bang and was completely caught off guard.

I look over and my passenger side window is shattered, tiny fragments of glass all over the inside.

What was it? At first I thought it was kids throwing rocks or something. Nope. It was a trash can, you know those ones with the big swinging top.

I am about to pullover into a neighborhood and begin to notice other trash can thingys' that are potential hazards. No care was taken at all in assuring that these trash thingys' were off the road. I am PISSED OFF as hell.

I called the company and they gave me the number of the dude who handles this stuff, but he conveniently was not available.

Am at fault. I have pictures and will post them later.

Any suggestions???

Ohh man. I forgot to mention how it happened.

The can made contact with my sideview and it punched a hole in the forward part of the window.

I hear bang, look over, see that my window is smashed, look back to the road and realise I am in the other lane. It is a busy road and I am so extremely lucky that there was that short span of no oncoming traffic.

But hey, it is my Birthday, you are supposed to be lucky on your birthday.

Here is a pic.

I also have other pictures in my gallery that pertain to this situation. I believe I have a strong case in proving this companys' negligence. To me they were acting with a wreckless disregard for human life. I am not kidding, this mishap could have potentially taken my life or the life of someone else.

No it is a Q. The pic of the car next to the can was just a random car on the road.

One of the things I am worried about is the tint on the window. I don't know if they can match it. Having mismatched tinted windows isn't exactly what I had in mind.

I have tinted windows also, and share your concern.if you have the receipt for the tint, look for the brand name of tint and go shopping for it!I use Formula One all metal tint, not very dark, but cuts more heat than the dark dyed films that many use.try to get insurance company to pay to retint whole car if possible.
