Do you just want a grinding stone or a grinding wheel?

All brands are basically the same when it comes to them. All you have to do is decide on the roughness you want. The rougher it is(Lower grit IIRC) to quicker it will remove material. Smoother wheels(Higher grit) are what is actually used to sharpen the piece you are working with.

Eh.. It does matter that it's folded steel.

The type of blade material will affect the type of Grinde stone you use.

Try searching google for "Grinding Stones". That should give you alot of stuff.

When you're done, post some pictures of something that you killed with the knife

spend a little extra for a diamond honing stone too. I've shaved with my Columbia River before.

I'm gonna have to say get a nice EZ Lap set or something...they seem to make the better ones.

if you're really good, I'd suggest a steel.

Check out this site. If my knife is really messed up I start with the rough grit and move up to the 6000 grit. For maintaining a good edge you can just use the medium grit 1000-3000.
