I have a 2008 infiniti m35s, when I break I'm hearing a squeak and I get a vibration in the steering wheel. Esp when breaking hard from fast speed. I don't think it's ABS. Any suggestions?? Vince.

That's what I first thought, but they look good and feel smooth, unless.. they're warpped maybe? I'm about to get a service in a few days and I don't want to get the shaft. I'm sure they will recommand pads and possibly rotors.

Sounds like your brakes and rotors are due for a change. Brake job is pretty easy if you are willing to try it. I first started with a brake job after the dealership quoted me $800 for front and rear brake service. This is not including rotors!! I went online and found a video + DIY on FX forums (not this forums) to try it myself. It was the easiest thing to do and it cost me 300 bucks with 4 new drilled + slotted rotors and front and rear Akebono ceramic pads. After the brake job, I start trying everything and I just stopped going to the dealer or anywhere else all together.

Same here...learned from a video and since then I have been changing brakes on all the vehicles in the family :werd:

Same exact problem in the 2006 I bought about 3 months ago - 80,000 miles.

Got the Brakemotive rotors and pads off ebay for $178 and had Pep Boys install for $250. And what everybody says here about working with disc brakes is the truth - it is not that hard with the right tools. I did it on my Maxima and if I can do it anybody can. Unfortunately I just didn't have the time to do these.
