Wattup people,
As you probably know, NY had a big snow storm on Friday. My car was covered with snow. Because I have all wheel drive though, I just pulled right out of the spot I was in with no problem. On my way home I took the highway. Once I got to about 50-60mph, my steering wheel started to shake. My question is does that fact that I didn't clean all the snow off the car have anything to do with this ? I dropped the car last year about this time and hadn't gotten an alignment since. I am not sure if It's that, or if it is rotors. I am not sure so I ask the knowledge-base on this site. Keep in mind, the shaking just started when I drove back. Ive never had an issue with it before that time.

It was the snow/ice in the rim. Clean it all off before you roll and you should be good. The balanceis being thrown off by the weight. Don't drive those speeds like that or you might mess up your front end stuff.....this is all if this immediately happened after the snow fall and your car was sitting.

Yea. I basically warmed the car up and then pulled right out of the parking spot. No shovel or anything. So once the ice and snow gets off the rim, I should be fine you think ?

I had the same thing a couple of year ago. Freaked me out at first, but then I realized it was the snow.

It scared the crap outta me. Started thinking about how much money it was gonna cost me for rotors, alignment, balancing, all that crap. But it appears y'all know what y'all talking about. Thanks guys !
