howdy guys, i was just wondering if something might be wrong with my 240 cause earlier today i went out after it rained and i had floored it in first gear and spun the tires though the whole gear and shifted into 2nd then the tires spun till i hit 7k getting up to 40mph and the car started to like shake or bounce around some. My friend said that i messed something up but it drove perfectly fine and i was just wanting to double check.

Hi, welcome to NICO.

I would like to ask you to please take it easy on your old S13. It probably hasn't had all the routine checkups or all the factory mantainance so it could be a little more delicate than you think.

Also, your vibration issue may have just been a differential problem. I get it from time to time in the rain and its usually just slippage and your old-as$ bouncy sub-frame hopping around.

Mine does that everytime I pull out of my road too fast. Like when I'm turning right it shakes like a mo-fo on the right sidethen as I straighten up its fine.

Well as far as the excessive tire slip, thats usually a problem with any rwd car in wet weather, unless you have some really good tires. My car probably spins the tires even easier cause it has alot of weight removed from the back. any way, the bouncing could be caused by above reasons, or a blown strut. My friends jetta used to bounce bad on launch when the tires started slipping, and it turned out the strut was blown, causing poor damping.
