Shake & Rattle My Q45
My '91 Q45 is making some really bad noises and shaking from the fan to the engine. It is making a grinding sound also and there is metallic dust about the area. All fluids are OK. Can someone tell me if this is the water pump going bad? ASAP !!!

Have you had your chain guides replaced?Is the fan cracked or loose?

HEY, THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY. NO, THE FAN IS NOT CRACKED AND IT'S NOT FROM THE CHAIN. I WAS LOOKING EARLIER AND SAW AS IF THE BEARINGS WHERE THE FAN IS WAS BROKEN. NOT SURE THOUGH. THE NOISE IS REALLY BAD TO ME BECAUSE IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THERE IS METAL TO METAL RUBBING.

One of your idler bearings is probably going out. Did it screech at high rpms? Easy fix.
