ok a few things

1) Well.. this weekend the fun begins.. getting a new hatchback and dash for my pos and im going to start pulling the motor out (i hope).. If your in the jacksonville area wants to do see it done , try something out or have some advice your welcome to stop by. just post on here with your e-mail and ill send you my address.. Ill probably be spendind almost every weekend between now and christmas working on it

2) if anyone needs internal parts off of a SOHC motor (block, cams, rods ect.) feel free to take it its got crap load of miles on it but... if it can help go for it.....

3) On top of that.. how many people are from the jacksonville area, and are there ever meetings, anyone ever get together?

4) Lights... are there any lights (non popup) that will fit in the spaces left by the stock lights.. i dont mind doing a little cutting or a little work with fiberglass to make it look ok...

5) If there is anything you want to try on a 240 that you think is worth while but dont want to experiment on yours post and your welcome to try it on mine because everything i do on this car is pretty much going to be gheto so i doubt you can hurt it to much more then i already will be, or atleast untill i get some money. as long as it is mechanicly sound afterwards i dont car..

anyway thats about it.. long live gheto raceing :-P

hey Amature240, sounds like you got a 89 or 90 too then. Will you put a post up if you run into any undocumented problem areas in the swap? i just started mine on my 89, pulling the engine now getting the front clip mid october abouts. If you really want to go ghetto dont extend the ecu wires, just stretch that beeotch all over the engine bay. i think thats what im gonna do, then slowly extend parts till its all done. i dont wanto spend a week extending wires so...

Yeh... i got a 90 pos..... :-) i will most deffinetly post anything that comes up that is undocumented... Unfortunetly im so POOR that it wont be till after christmass that i get my clip. however i have so much work to do on the car i would not be able to do it till then anyway... however i will be doing a website docvumenting everything i do from swaping out the trunk and dash to the motor...... where and for how much did you get your clip for?

I got mine in sacremento CA, wich is about 20 mins from where i live. I got a complete s13 clip (including radiator/downpipe) for 2500. Not bad considering im not paying shipping, so its 2500 flat. I got it from a little known shop that imports a million japanese engines, Venus-auto. Thier site is http://www.venus-auto.comi opted for the front clip so i could use all the jdm parts to swap my car from auto to manual as well. Now the only thing killing me is the anticipation of roasting cars in my SR....

They said 2 to me also, but i needed one with parts they dont normally come with ie the radiator and other misc parts so they raised it 25. 2 is a damn good price though, for what your getting. Even with shipping its less than heavy throttle or others...
