Just wondering if anyone has had a good experience with a shop and would recommend for repairing my 2002 Q45. I've got a few things I want looked at, for example, my engine compartment was chewed up by a rat and I took it to a local shop that I've known to be good, but they don't specialize in Infiniti, so while I'm fairly confident the repairs they did were good, I don't know if they missed some things from not having the right equipment. They couldn't verify the ECM they replaced had the latest firmware.

Also, the speed control laser thing on the cruise control stopped working. Although the first time it kicked in it kind of surprised me because I didn't know about it, I've found that I rather like it, especially in traffic when I tend to want to go 4 mph faster than the guy in front of me I don't have to attempt to match his speed with my cruise control nor disable the cruise control.

Anyway, just looking for a recommendation, thanks!

Look for posts by BadQ45t for some recommendation, or maybe PM works?

As far as dealerships...I swear by Niello Infiniti in Walnut creek. at Treat and the freeway. They have given me a M as a loaner before.....oh yeah and do VERY good work....very fair.
AND I live in Sacto which is a 70 mile one way. I drive past the 2 sacto dealers.

Nothing against the stealership but I like to keep most of my money in at wells fargo and Fidelity, not at an Infiniti dealership. My guy is in San Bruno, Richard's Auto Repair. Call them at (650) 589-6880 and ask for David or Barry. Their labor rate is close to 1/2 of the the dealership and they are friendly guys that will plug a code reader in for free, for example.

Drop it off there and rent an enterprise rental car...it will easily work out in your favor. I know Niello is good, and if i had a 2008 car I'd be there, but after warranty is over Q's have no business at the stealership.
