The predecessor to my G37S was a first generation Mazda RX-7. When I bought it, in the mid 1980s, there was a lot of pissing and moaning about buying foreign cars instead of something from Detroit. My reply was that I would have been pleased to buy a Pontiac RX-7, but Pontiac insisted on building the Fiero.
