I don't recommend using any kind of docking station unless you have to. If you are using it for "cooling" you need to remove it completely as this sometimes doesn't cool properly at all and can harm the computer.
If you were having these issues and computer was over heating, take it apart, replace the compound on the Processor, reassemble it. Monitor the heating over a period of time. If the computer continues to shut off, you may have a update for the bios that allows the fan to run faster pushing more air through it and cooling it.
You should never have to buy a cooling docking station for any PC. It is a gimmick. Now if your docking station serves any other purpose then I can see as to why you have it.
