i have a 90 hatch with a rebuilt sohc before i put my new engine in the car right after i bought it it threw an egr code and after a week of driving it self cleared. it has been about 3 months since i put the new motor in and it threw a injector leak code and an egr code. i had been supecting them leaking so i changed the whole rail and injectors. and when doing the injectors i noticed my o2 sensor wire was riding on my exhaust manifold so it was quite melted but there is no o2 code. before the injector change i could hear it coming out the tail pipe/bogging it down and with the other injectors it starts up easier and seems to run better. i am wondering if the possible bad o2 wire could fool the comp into throwing these two codes.

thats for the bad stuff now what do you gain with using a throttle plate spacer.

I think a bad O2 sensor would at least throw a running rich code related to the fuel injectors. I am not so sure on the EGR code comming from a bad O2 sensors.

Why would you want to use a throttle plate spacer?
