Hi there Nico, I purchased a N/A 1990 around a year ago and drove it for a few months. Then it kind of sat, I moved away from home and had no place to store it, I eventually came back and did the timing belt, currently we are at 167k miles.

Anyways I was debating on doing a new harness and had the question of OEM vs Wiring Specialties? Also how hard is the job? Is it possible with engine in, any links or info to recent done projects would be awesome.

I'm also in CA has anyone ever deleted the EGR and passed smog still?

Wiring Specialties has a good reputation for a quality product and good results, while OEM will work fine as well. Not sure of the cost differences, if any.
Never done these myself so I can't comment on ease of installation, but there was a member awhile back that did it in record time and others have said it's not a horrible job.

Hmm if anyone on here has knowledge of which is a bit better in terms of cost vs effect.
I also got a question right now I'm really tempted to buy a TT from a local around where I'm at but it needs work.. driver turbo is going but he says still boost at 14psi and cylinder 6 is going out, I think the number he gave me was 90psi which is awful and pretty much calls for a rebuild, does anyone know what a standard TT rebuild usually goes for?

I think that the biggest difference with Wiring Specialties is upgraded connectors and a better looking harness, maybe even better protected. OEM looks like what you already have but cleaner, and I believe still has the crappy unsealed connectors unless you buy a '94 or '95 which isn't always possible due to the climate control and other things.
As for engine rebuild costs it all depends upon the source of your parts and just how stock you actually stay given that most opt for upgraded 120K and clutch components and more, rather than get gouged for inferior parts from Nissan. And if you go longblock or otherwise, new wiring harness, etc., etc.
Too hard to give any reasonable answer to that one, you just have to do your homework with the sources you prefer to use and the level of rebuild that you opt for.

The latest and greatest WS harness come in three pieces. Connector near the ecu, for ease of fire wall pass thru and a connector for the 6 the injectors. An added bonus is that they are all wired for ignition injector power only, same as the newer OEM harness.
