several electrical issues

i bought a 86 300zx about two months ago and am having several issues. first of all my transmission blew so i got it rebuilt and im having problems getting the overdrive to engage and its not mechanical. second ever since then my stereo has been whining to the rpms of the motor. third is the AC it hasnt worked since i got the car but when i got the stereo put in it began to blow, but thats it it wont change from defrost. and lastly my cruse control it will turn on but will not set.

well the stereo whine, si most likely the noise supressor, it bolts tot he positive lead of the alternator and then to the body of the alternator, any chance it got disconnected in the process?

the a/a, you still have pressure int he system? and if it's not diverting properly fomr defor, to floor, vent etc, it's most likely a vacuem prblem, there are 2 vac lines that enter the cabin right next to the battery, they are what control the flappers, if one of them got damaged in the process taht woud explain the loss of function
