So I have been researching and planning to turbo my Ka for awhile. I got a couple of ? and wanted some input. So far this is my list:-RB25 Turbo-RB25 Turbo Outlet-RB25 3' Downpipe-550cc deatschwerk-255lph walbro-z32 fuel filter-Z32 MAF-AEM O2 Wideband UEGO Controller

Still looking for Manifold, FPR, Gaskets, Turbo Lines, Gauges, RB25 Turbo Wastegate Actuator.

BTW the motor will be stock.

now the ?s1)I need to get a custom manifold for the RB Turbo, log type right? If so will get a JGS one work.2) If I remove the Emissions before the Turbo install, will that screw with the ECU?3) I was planning of getting E-mance, do I still need boost control, SAFC and etc.?

I don't know what flange the RB turbo uses, but you just need the same flange on your manifold. The JGS kit might work for you.

The JGS oil lines are your best bet though.

Wait until you do the turbo install and remove the EGR then.

You will not need any other control besides a boost controller, and thats only if you don't want lbs of the wastegate. Technically you don't need any other controller besides the ECU tune.

The RB25 uses a T3. It will need a custom downpipe for sure. What part of the turbo are you trying to clean? If it's just the compressor take it off and clean it.

I would buy something to fine-tune the emance fuel. From what people experience, he tunes the ecu really safe. Sometimes it has excessive timing retard and very rich afr's, so you won't be getting the full potential out of your set-up, but it definately won't blow under load easily.

1) You could pretty much get any manifold you wanted as long as its t3 flanged.

2)I removed my emissions before turbo and it ran fine, I guess thats just up to you.

3)I would just pull the housings off and wash them with something like brake clean, carb cleaner or some other kind of solvent/degreaser. Then clean the wheels with solvent on a rag. However try your best to keep any liquid (other than oil) from near the CHRA (center housing rotating assembly).

Also you may already know, but alot of the rb25 turbos came with ceramic exhaust wheels. There is some sort of problem with them breaking above a certian psi, like 13psi or so.

I'm talking about his most recent tunes, I know there were some issues with his older ones and some *** trying to ruin him also. I'm guessing that's why he tunes them so conservatively now lol.
