Someone told me if your going to spend the money on the project dont skimp out on things....you want a IC if you dont have alot of money get like a DSM side mount or something from a junk yard, and yes you are going to need something to control what you have added for fuel

Definitely consider a IC, even an OEM side mount like creature said. You can run more boost with an IC.To control your bigger injectors, you'll need a piggyback (like SAFC) or a hacked MAF. I think you should search aroung here to find more about the hacked MAF. Its bascially a way to sneak more air by your MAF to compensate for more fuel from the injectors.

haha thats everything that's on my list right now, and I'm sure I'm still forgetting a ton of stuff. Dont ever let anyone give you a list of like 5 things and tell you "thats all you'll need."

As far as an intercooler, I'd say it's definetly necessary. If you have to cheap out, then just get some bogus side mount or something- but get SOMETHING. I really dont feel like cooling is a place where you should skimp in a turbo setup..

If you dont know where IC piping comes from and goes to on a turbo setup, then you definetly have a LOT to learn - and probably shouldnt be buying parts yet. Go to http://www.howstuffworks.com and read the section on turbochargers, read this forum and for gods sake buy corky bell's book "Maximum Boost."

well i know that the piping comes out of the turbo to the intercooler back to the intake manifold..and one part goes from a air filter to the side of turbo...and the turbo sits on the exhaust manifold...but where would i put a flange for the bov to the piping?

BOV usually goes on the cold pipe (after the IC), and then if you decide to re-route it, it feeds back to the intake after the MAF

you can see the BOV on the cold side there, with the metal return line to the intake ;)

does that car not have an IC..im thinking about not Intercooling right away..just running turbo for a while...i can run at like 5 psi without damage i believe..so the other line coming off intake pipe going towards the intake manifold goes to what?? also is that little metal line coming off top of turbo, is that the oil return line or what?? and the blue rubber hose coming off the pipe going to bov is for what??

1. that car is running an IC

2. piping coming off intake pipe going towards intake manifold attaches to the BOV so the gases from the BOV return through the turbo rather than going to the atmosphere.or you are talking about the other line which goes the the head which is the oil overflow i believe.

3. yes, oil return

4. pressure line so the BOV opens at the correct time

its not a big deal, but he doesn't seem to know much about turbos so I didn't want him to get confused.
