Good morning all.....I have some questions on setting up my greddy profec electronic boost controller.....mods on the car are cold air intake, new plugs, downpipes no cats, test pipes, hks hi power exhaust with resonators, z1 intercoolers and tuned ecu for 93 octane. What would you suggest are the settings I should set my boost controller up with and how much psi. I am currently just running the controller at 26% on hi mode which is giving me 14-14.5 psi. I have the gain on 0. Any suggestions on setting up the controller to make it run more efficient. As always thank you for the help!!!!!!

Stock sized injectors? 14-15 psi would be the most I would go until you have a dyno tune to know your engine limit, so 26% duty is fine for now.

1)Set the display to graph mode.

2)Set "start boost" to 10.0psi and do a run. look for boost spike at the beginning of graph, if none increase 0.5 psi increments until spike starts to show.(i'd guess around 12.0 psi or so ). "START BOOST" SETTING HAS TO BE LOWER THAN YOUR PEAK BOOST(ie yours is 14-14.5)

3)increase gain at small increments if the last 2/3 of the graph shows drop in boost. This feature is used to maintain boost.

For reference my hi boost settings 94 oct, 740 inj, stock turbos: yields 390 WHP, 405 Tq
70% duty for 16.9psi
start boost 12.0psi
gain 8

Every system will vary so you will need to play with it to fine tune.

Thank you for the help on setting up the boost controller......are there any dangers on setting up the start boost and gain over leaving them on 0 and just using the 26% duty

If the start boost is too hi, you will get boost spike. This function allows faster boost by keeping the WG actuator closed until you want to start controlling boost pressure.

Example: 10psi start boost setting, once the BC sees 10 psi it will allow air into the WG and start controlling upto your set 14.5 psi(26% duty). If start boost is at 13psi, your boost may spike to say 15.5 psi before being able to control.

It won't hurt anything be leaving the start boost and gain at zero. You may not even notice the difference during normal driving.

For my setup, the gain was not really doing much as the oem turbos were running out of breath after 5000rpm at 16.5 psi anyways.

Awesome!!!!!..... I dailed it in on the highway and with the start set on 10.4 it shoots right too 13.5-14 psi immediately and it stays right at that mark till I shift no drop off with the gain at 3......your the man definitely made a difference
