My question Is this;

I have deleted the fast idle jazz and instead plan to control idle with the set screw on the TB.

With the set screw holding the throttle plate cracked, the TPS voltage will be affected. Do I set TPS voltage before or after I establish Idle with set screw?

thanks

Greg

I ran into the TPS adjustement yesterday. Im getting Code # 13 TPS sensor so I decided to set my TPS. I can get the spec which is .5V at closed throttle and 4.0V at WOT. The FSM says to probe pin #38 and ground and check if the values change. My question is rather than probe at the ECU isnt there a way to get the reading directly from the sensor wires? Anyone know which ones?

Well there is a problem with that. With our almost 20 year old engine harness the voltage read directly at the tps may not be what the ecu sees. So the closer to the ecu you read the better.

Awsome, thanks for the response. Ive adjusted TPS's before, always taken the voltage reading directly from the sensor itself, never seen a reading taken at the ECU itself so I was a little confused. Im gonna try it and see what I get.
