So I'm setting the TPS position per the FSM...

~1K ohms closed~9K ohms fully open

I have the closed setting at 1.03-- ohms, but at fully open it only goes to 7.7-- ohms.I can get 8.8-- ohms MAX from the TPS @ fully open, but then the closed reading is 2.2-- ohms.

So what's the verdict? Will this affect engine running? or should I try to get a new TPS? I have a KA24E TPS, could this work? Thanks...

hmmm... maybe a few of you with running cars can do a quick test for information purpose that others can/could benefit from...then we can see what range we can really be in and be fine...

Here's the procedure:

It's a potentiometer inside the unit, so if the resistance gets F'd up in it you just get a new one... You set it by rotating it on the throttle body, tehn tighten the two srews to hold it after you calibrated it.
