Loosen the 2 bolts holding it in and turn it very slightly to advance/retard timing after you have it already setup.

it's much like working a distro cap, just make sure you have your timing light set up when you start messing with it. 16 BTDC is where the timing should be set at.

There is more than just the CAS. You can also adjust timing via the camshaft sprockets. You can do this in one of two ways, buy actual adjustable cam sprockets from a company like HKS or Jun, or just move the sprockets over a tooth or two on the chain.

CAS adjusts ignition timing. Intake cam sprocket adjusts intake valve timing. Exhaust cam sprocket adjusts exhaust valve timing.

PS, that second method of moving the sprockets over a tooth or two was a joke. You can move them if you want (only something an idiot would do) but this will throw everything WAY off. ie move the exhaust cam off a tooth in a certain direction and you will get full boost alot faster but have crappy idle and overheat quickly.

The stock spec on the SR is 15 degrees before top dead center give or take 2 degrees. So that means that you can run anything from 13-17 degrees and be within stock specs. You will not notice any difference moving the timing from 15 to 16 degrees. Dont even waste your time.

i say 16, cause all FSM pictures I've seen have it slightly behind the 15 degree mark. But speedracer is right, you won't notice a difference if you stay within 2 degrees +/- of 15.
