When i first got my motor from enjuku i took it to a local mechanic to put a better head gasket in. How can i check to see if he installedd all the parts that deal with timing correct. Thanx

Yes most likely a timing issue. Pull the valve cover, rotate the crank pulley till the gold links are at the top of the cam gears and make sure your at tdc , stab the cas (can't remember exactly how the dots line up off the top of my head, just look it up in the fsm) and presto...if it doesn't want to run re-stab the cas forward or back a tooth and it should be good

Id be scared about your valves if the timing was set way off you could have bent valves.
