03 Pathfinder LE 76k miles

SES light on a week ago, didnt notice anything unusual. Took to a shop and pulled code P1121 and said Electronic throttle control actuator need to be replaced. The shop and dealer both gave an estimate cost around $700. Because I read someone said that ETC actuator might cause the RPM runs high. But I didnt notice any change in RPM(just like it dose before). I re-tight gas cap. and noticed the air filter was dirty and changed direction up side down(one top is relatively clean). Then Just before I wanted to drive to the shop to get the problem fixed, I wanted to try the reset SES light(tried before, all failed) one last time. I recalled I just wait 3sec, then 5 in 5 sec, wait 7sec, then press 10 sec and I RELEASEd pedal w/o even noticed whether the SES light was flashing or not , then after I started, its GONE . That procedure dosent suppose to reset the SES light, right? but its gone.

Then I went to buy a new air filter(already due) and drove around in town did some errands. after 30 miles and around 6 times stop-start, its still off (in around 9 hours).

So I just wait to see if the light comes back? If there is a problem, the light sure will come back? If not, the ECM memory is cleared just like nothing happened?

Any comment or suggestion will be really appreciated.
