you have not experienced any symptoms at all?crazyboy3012 wrote:Hello Guyz,
I was out on a weekend trip and during my return journey i got the SES light.
2003, infiniti g35 4d sedan. Last service done on Feb 1st 2011...service due May 1st 2011. Has 87 K miles on it.
3 yrs ago i got the SES light on when I was in US...took the car to autozone and got the code...had to change a gas cap. Autozone loaned the OBD2 reader for free.
I am in Canada (Montreal) and not sure if there is anyone equivalent to Autozone that would provide free diagnostic test.
Once again this could be as minor as a replacing the gas cap or something to that extent and I do not want to pay 99$ + tax to the local infiniti dealer.
Any tips or advice is highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Thx Zozo....i just chked out E-bay and OBD2 scanners are available from 10$ to 100$. Which one do you have? Any particular OBD2 scanner you could recommend for infiniti g35's...not too expensive...50-60$ would work.
thx in advance

ok i have seen it. is this the same port that the Consult III computer hooks to?zozoka1212 wrote:The port is located on the driver side under the steering wheel area close to the VDC switch. It is on the right to where you pop the hood. You can feel it with your fingers if you check it out. Most cars if not all have it around that area.
now this is really cool. i have a netbook and though it would be awesome to have it hooked up while driving to get diagnostics, but doing it with the ipod touch would be great too. i dont see anything on here about a cable to connect. it would obviously have to hook into the ipod's propriotary (sp?) plug.zozoka1212 wrote:http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/dashcomm ... 93183?mt=8

I have Blacberry but can install it on my wife's or my son's ipod. I am sure she would be happy if I borrow her ipod to scan my car.![]()
