i have an 89 nissan 240sx with 94k on the motor. i have had this problem since i got the car. when i start up the car and drive it, it runs fine. when i shut the car off and go to restart it within like 5-10 minutes the car will start but it will rev up and down from 1300-2000 rpm's contunously about 10 times. i dont know what is causing this. the local auto store does this type of ecu code reading that will tell you what is going bad or is already bad and i wanted to know what might be causeing this and, also if there is an electronic service port, where is it at. i have already tried numerous thinds to fix this problem such as new o2 sensor, new plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, injector rings, coolant temp sensor (ecu one) and i still cant figure what is wrong with this. any help would be appreciated.

ok, well you could also check the maf, that is a possible problem area. and the port is near the fuses sorta by the clutch pedal, that little door, its in there, a big open plug. make sure to tell them that it is OBD I
