My wife drives a 1997 Q45 Infiniti. I am looking for a Service Manual for this car. I have not been able to find one except for the Service Manual offered by our Infiniti Dealership which is $250+. I don't want to know this much $$$$ about the car. Any suggestions?

ebay usually has service manuals up for sale, both hard copy and CDrom.

its cheaper used, and most are in good used condition.

Just make sure that you get the original Infiniti service manuals! There is a guy there who regularly sells all model year Infiniti service manuals on CD-ROM for $30 or so. This is a piece of garbage - do not bother buying it. If you really want it, drop me a line and I will gladly sell you the CD-ROM that I got from this guy, for less money, and then you can feel bad about it instead of me! :)

Neither Joe nor Infiniti could get you one? They should still be available from Infiniti.

The seller I bought from was named "zin666". Avoid his Inifiniti "service manuals". And, yes, he has lots of manuals on sale at eBay - I do not know if one of them was for the 240SX. If it is the same guy, avoid buying from him.

Brian,

Again, thanks for your help. I contacted the Infiniti Dealership you recommended and they offered me a factory shop manual for $151. plus freight. I might order it; or I might just keep watching the web for a used one. If I come up with a good solution I will post it. I am always open to more ideas.

Haven't monitored for Q manuals for your year, but I would get the factory one that is available, and not worry about missing pages, dirty grease stains, and such. It will save you its purchase price in no time, and help any untrained tech do a more complicated job properly.

Brian I will do exactly that.

Thanks
