I did not think the dealer would hand over something like a technical manual to a customer.dewluca wrote:The link from casio is for the 2007 Manual.
The page from DOOM is a long series of files which appear to be from a manual but the FWD.pdf file is missing/damaged so I can't verify that it is for the 2009 Versa.
Does anyone know if there have been substantial changes from 2007 to 2009?or where to download the 2009 Technical Manual? (I've had no luck getting anything from pdftown to ever work.)
Still looking . . . BTW, with my previous car I just ordered one from the Dealer. My current Dealer claims that no such manual exists . . .
true but if they give you the resource to help you fix something which they could charge you for when you brought it in for repairs. you know what I mean?dewluca wrote:Well I had to pay them for it . . . but they gave me no trouble about ordering one for me.The introduction says it's "intended for use by service technicians" but then adds "This manual can be also useful for [] owners in diagnosing certain problems and performing some repair and maintenance on [] vehicles."Indeed that is what I used it for . . . to diagnose problems and to make minor repairs. We're not talking top secret classified information here . . .
Use the 2008 FWD.PDF file instead of the 2009 FWD.PDF and the 2009 manual will open up.NODES wrote:

I have had no luck finding a working 2009 FWD.PDF. If you do let me know. I am hoping that they will be available early Spring when the 2010 manuals start appearing.dewluca wrote:Thanks Frank! I finally finished downloading all the subfiles and was just about to try to create my own Table of Contents . . . your suggestion worked great! Thanks for saving me lots of time and headache.
Lucinda2009 Versa Sedan MT6 with only 170 miles so far . . . happy to find this forum.
You can order them, they are just very expensive. I looked into buying a paper copy for my Maxima but $300+ was too hard to justify. The original Q45 actually came with a smaller (but full content) edition of the service manual in a nice case. Mine's full of bookmarks and sticky notes.NODES wrote:I did not think the dealer would hand over something like a technical manual to a customer.
I totally agree . . . especially when the Owner's Manual says "A genuine NISSAN Service Manual is the best source of service and repair information for your vehicle." . . .and I'm sure when I bought the one for my Mazda in '88 it only cost me $25-50. (The only other car I've ever owned.) So not sure if the high cost is a Nissan thing or more general inflation . . .MinisterofDOOM wrote:Personally, I think auto manufacturers should be REQUIRED to release that sort of information to all owners on request for free.
