I recently obtained a printout for the service history for my Q. My parents purchased the car in 9/97 as a used car for $32,000 dollars. The car had 19K miles on it which I thought was really low.
After I looked at the printout, I realized why it may have been so low.

With the first owner, she must've had a hell of a time with this car. The car was in EVERY MONTH for service. The engine was ripped out twice and replaced once. No wonder the car had such little mileage...it was barely ever in driveable condition. So far, since my family has had it, it's been fairly reliable (knock on wood). The car currently has 56K miles on it and runs beautifully. The dealer performed a diagnostic service on the car last month and said that everything is hunky dory.
I guess this car is proof that you can own a Q and keep it in almost mint condition for very little money. We probably spend an average of $1000/year for routine maintenance and wear and tear items...but then again, we don't drive the car a whole lot. I plan on keeping this car for another 10 years. :ylsuper
