ok i have a 1998 frontier it has the check engine light. it hasnt passed inspection for like 3 years. we brought it and they said that the light burnt out or sumtin and the inspection place wont let it pass. how do i check the codes and clear them. yes i searched and some say to disconnect battery to clear it but that just doesnt fix the problem

go to a auto parts store and most of them will read the codes for free. once you have that info....you will know what to fix or adjust to get through inspection.
