Have anyone had the service engine soon icon come on? And do anyone know how to turn it off on a 2007 altima? Need help! :ohno:

Bring it to a shop? If you have an owner's manual, look up what it says. If you don't, there's one somewhere on this site... Search feature should help.

Thanks i checked the book and it says it could be the fuel cap and i checked that too. still no luck.

if i disconnect the negative side will it go off?

Of your battery? Yeah, it'll go off with everything else in your car. When you reconnect it, it may or may not come on. If it doesn't come on right away, it might come on shortly after driving the car. I'd suggest that you take it in.

I would suggest pulling the code for the CEL:

Do the following:

altima-how-to-manually-pull-read-check- ... 59098.html

Let us know what the code is and we can tell you what is wrong. :)

Or go get an OBD2 code reader.

exactly. the ses or cel is letting you know somethings up. go to autozone or advanced auto parts. you can scan it for free
